Yes, I was one of those who drove himself as crazy to register in Orkut without read their terms of use. Someone pointed out that recently and I've took my time to read it, for my surprise there are very very bad things which I strongly disagree with, so I've decided to leave.

I've sent an email to admin@orkut.com as they say in their help pages (you can see it below), so I'm waiting for my removal in the next hours. I don't like to support a company whhich goes under the DCMA and which intents to have copyright ownership for all material users posts in there. They say that they'll never sale, disclose personal information but also said that:
You understand and agree that orkut.com may access, preserve, and disclose your personal information and the contents of your account if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such access preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process or protect the rights and property of orkut.com, its affiliates or the public.
And there' smore!:
By submitting, posting or displaying any Materials on or through the orkut.com service, you automatically grant to us a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicenseable, transferable, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable right to copy, distribute, create derivative works of, publicly perform and display such Materials.

It's kind sad to have to leave that, because It was a cool experience and I've found that such things are a very interesting way to get in touch and meet people. But I did what I have to ;) and as my friend said All that are on my friend list knows how to reach me, so...
Well here is the infamous email, will keep informing. And as I've said on my email I encourage you to read and decide about it.
