After talk with some people who likes and uses Debian, and once i felt it's getting more popular, I've declared the oficial beginig of our local user group. This group aims to promote, use and help to deployments of Debian. We also intend to work on Debian project related issues, like taking care of translations, l10n (spanish), development, take care of bugs, have fun, drink beers and the most important: guard our $COUNTRY domination.
mailing list has been set-up and let's the dance begins, we are planning a first meeting for 11 Debian's birthday, this announce, also coincides with my 28 birthday, that's nice!
In other news, I've made a lot of progress by updating d-i manual spanish translation, it's looking really good and we are about to reach 100% of translated files, cool.
Andreas accepted to sponsor some of my packages, so I hope they could enter sid in the following days, that would be cool, another thing remaing is the xfce4-goodies packages, had to talk about them with my partners at Xfce4 team, so hopefully they could make into sarge. There was good improvement that I've work on.
Finally I'm checking some RC tagged packages to work on fixes so we can reach the timeline and have sarge on time. I hope I can help as much as possible.
