I was quite lazy to do some Debian related and BSP-specific work, but when I came back home after having a wonderful time with someone very special (I just want to thank you again for being so wonderful) I decided to help a bit. So I spotted out into the RC bugs for main and picked a couple of packages, you know those who look easy-going, so I wouldn't have to mess with bunch of code and programs that I first need to learn what they do and how they do it, and of course download tons of bytes. Well, one of them is a sort of insane configuration program in C to have dynamic network setup and named: divine (heh).
I've come with a little patch for it which I need to test somewhere, since this
program is real "funny" (something to not saying: how in the world a human
being can implement such thing!) but hey I'm trying to help so..., however I
don't want to mess my system and render it unusable or who knows what... The
other is smptd a sort of MTA proxy for firewalls, it does have packaging
issues which I just spot where they are located and what I need to do to fix
them, but I'm a bit tired now, so I'll continue after sleeping.
I also did some update to torcs and fixed some silly harcoded paths and
autoconf issues that upstream had and I didn't properly checked (yes, kick
my head I deserve it!). btw, if you experiment
#281901,
please install torcs-data-cars-extra as a workaround until
I upload the new revision, thanks.
Anyway, now that I'm unemployed I have plenty of time to do some more
progress :D
On Updates: I'm updating my two machines at home to the latest versions of software in unstable, just as a prevision to the uncertain future, since if things don't get better I'll have to downgrade my ADSL service or probably cut it at all. So far they are nearly 300MB each, seems I need to update more often :)
Debian local event: Our event plans seems going well, I'll have to thank people who is contributing to make it happen and I hope we can meet there to rule our country domination and sign some keys too ;), see you next saturday!
