I happen to be Chief Executive Officer, among other things, at
HTU Networks,
a consulting firm I've started which works closely with free software and
emerging technologies.
For the previous years I've worked on the financial and the telco industries in Lima, Peru my positions were varying from time to time. I've acted as OpenVMS administrator for GMD on different projects but mainly at CAVALI/BVL. I happen to be software developer for W-VAS services (SMS-based) later, and right after that I've become technical consultant on W-VAS services for the marketing deparment and acted as technical coordinator head for new services implementations, development and deployment for, at that time, TIM Peru (currently América Móviles / Claro). I've also worked on QA and SLA specifications for solutions providers and my position involved coordination with customer service, IT, solution providers and handset vendors, also some handset testing.
As one of my main interests I've been participating on free software movement for more than 6 years, acting as developer and activist. I'm Debian developer since 2006 (you can check more on this here), also founder of APESOL and been on its board for two terms. I've worked on different free software projects, initially on the l10n/i18n field and later as developer.
Currently I'm resuming my Computer Science career, which I've dropped at some point due the lack of offering on this field in my country at that time. I also was student of the advertisement school at UIGV back in the 90's.
