Quite old news but since 2010, I've returned to school to pursue a BSc. in Computer Science at the San Pablo Catholic University's School of Computer Science in Arequipa, Peru. I've moved and live there since then, in one of the best (delayed) decissions made in my life. Pretty nice place.
After that I've been Software Developer for Wireless Value Added Services (W-VAS) services (SMS-based), then moved as Technical Consultant on W-VAS services for the marketing deparment for, at that time, TIM Peru (currently América Móviles / Claro). My main role on the W-VAS team was the Technical Coordinator Head for new services implementations, development and deployment. I was in charge for orchestration with Customer Service, IT, Solution Providers and Handset Vendors to successfully launch new services. Our team became a new source of revenue for the company few months since our first products and services launch. Those were the first mobile-based products on the peruvian telco market. I've also worked on QA and SLA specifications for solutions providers and my position also involved some eventual handset testing.
Right before my current position I've ventured to start a Software Company, HTU Networks. I've learned a lot working with such great team of people and being on the customer-facing side. I intend to venture in rad ideas sometime in the future, stay tuned.
I've been participating on Free Software community for more than 10 years contributing as developer among other roles in different projects. Since 2006 I'm Debian Developer (you can check more on this here). I was founder of the APESOL, being on its board for two terms.
You can get a glimpse of the projects I'm currently involved with here. My Linkedin profile has more details about my professional career.
